A smokeless plancha works with a double-wall system.
· Oxygen reaches the fire from below, helping the wood burn better and hotter.
· Extra air flows upwards between the double walls.
· This preheated air is released again at the top and burns the smoke particles a second time.
This gives you:
· far less smoke, and with dry wood almost no smoke at all
· a cleaner burn
· more heat from the same amount of wood
· a much faster heat-up time – you can start cooking in around 30 minutes
It is not completely smoke-free: when lighting it, using damp wood or adding fresh wood, some smoke can still appear.
